Jeff Conaway battles drug addiction

Montreal, Quebec, Canada (CaymanMama.com) — Jeff Conaway, the former star of the famous 70s musical “Grease” and television show “Taxi”, has mentally surrendered to his prescription drug addiction, even though his body is still moving.

In fact, Conaway’s longtime girlfriend Vikki Lizzi told E! News that he is planning to die at home and even has an idea of how he wants his funeral.

“He’s talking about being burned on a boat and sent out to sea like a Viking funeral. It sends chills up my spine. We’re all trying to save his life, and he’s not listening,” Lizzi said.

Conaway, 59, was unable to clean up his drug addiction after two attempts for recovery in VH1’s “Celebrity Rehab” and is still recuperating from surgery after falling recently which resulted in hip and head injuries.

Lizzi said Conaway has talked of suicide on more than one occasion.

“This is just devastating,” she said. “I tried to save him from himself by trying to get him help … He wants to die at home. He knows the meds are killing him. He can’t get off them.

“I don’t think he wants to die,” she added. “I think it’s the meds that are destroying his mind.”
