Montreal, Quebec, Canada (CaymanMama.com) — As “Celebrity Rehab” prepares for its sixth episode, country singer Mindy McCready has steadily improved since suffering a seizure on camera.
McCready has long struggled with alcohol and prescription drugs – and the legal ramifications of her addictions, which have landed her in jail on several occasions.
The country singer has struck up a friendship with roommate Mackenzie Phillips. Patient Heidi Fleiss was in shock after learning that one of her fellow roommates would be Tom Sizemore, with whom she formerly was linked romantically.
Others celebrities in recovery on the show this season include Mike Starr of Alice in Chains, former NBA player Dennis Rodman, former “America’s Next Top Model” contestant Lisa D’Amato and “Real World: Hollywood” cast member Joey Kovar.
The VH1 drug and alcohol rehabilitation program is filmed at the Pasadena Recovery Center and is headed by Dr. Drew Pinsky.
