Trey Prophater Joins the White Hores Advisors Team

White Horse Advisors, LLC, an independently-owned provider of financial advisory services to owners of closely-held businesses, retirement plan sponsors and individual investors, announces Trey Prophater as Business Development Associate. Trey specializes in working with retirement plan sponsors to help fulfill their fiduciary responsibilities, closely- held business owners to help execute successful exits, and institutional and individual investors to design investment strategies to meet their needs in an efficient manner. Trey will be focusing his efforts on advising clients and new business development.
Prior to joining White Horse, Trey spent nearly ten years at a regional, Atlanta based financial institution where he identified and implemented institutional investment and trust solutions for clients including: 401(k) plans, traditional pensions, nonqualified plans, trustee/custodial services, and proprietary investment management strategies. He provided solutions for plans from $2 million to over $100 million in assets.
“We are very excited to have Trey be part of our team. In some ways this is a reunion for us,” says Patrick Ungashick, CEO of White Horse. “I had the honor of first hiring Trey when he was a new undergraduate. He now brings back to us the experience and expertise he gained while away.”
Trey is a graduate of the Terry College of Business at the University of Georgia and earned the Certified Financial Planner (CFP®) designation in 2002. An Atlanta native, he and his wife, Mandy, have two children, Russ and Cate. They currently reside in Brookhaven and are members of Our Lady of the Assumption Catholic Church. In his spare time, he enjoys spending time with the children, attending UGA football games, and participating in endurance sports.
