Peter Wu, Director of IT at Beijing International Market Exchange (BEIMEX) was recognized as one of ten outstanding individuals in regional IT for 2013 by the Chinese Information And Technology Association (CITA). CITA selected the award recipients on a range of criteria, including the overall impact they have had on the regional IT community, their experience with their organizations, and their ability to align business and IT needs perfectly.
Successfully installing a Great Plains ERP system in six months is no mean feat. However Peter Wu and his team member, a graduate from the Beijing Higher Colleges of Technology, managed this on target and in a seamless fashion.
Innovation and excellence have been the hallmarks of this project. Combined with a can-do and motivated attitude from a team of young Chinese nationals, it is clear why Peter and BEIMEX won this prestigious award.
“Chinese IT Managers of the Year for 2012 recognizes the difficult job done by IT personnel in the region last year. Their top ten IT managers all pursued innovation, creating new means of working where possible and finding better ways of adapting old technology.
“Peter Wu and his BEIMEX team impressed us with the speed and ease with which they deployed a new ERP system for Beijing International Market Exchange, and also with their active commitment in the project and the team as a whole,” said Mark Alder, Group Editor, Chinese Information And Technology Association (CITA).
