India scores 352/3 on the first day of the second criket test match between the two countries.

November 30, 2007, Kolkata, India: India scores 352 for 3 at the Eden Gardens Stadium KolKata, today as India and Pakistan take to the field for the second test match of the series. Wassem Jaffer of India remains unbeaten at 192. Waseem Jaffer is now sharing the wicket with Ganguly who is batting at 17. Karthik was send back home after he scored one run off three balls, he was caught by Pakistani skipper Younus, Dravid scored 50 and Tendulkar was bowled out by Kaneria when he was batting at 82.

Pakistan’s team, at present is facing fitness problems, Shoaib Malik is down with an ankle injury, Shoaib Akhtar is suffering from flu though he bowled 9 overs giving away just 29 runs. Misbah-ul-Haq and Mohammad Sami are also down with vital infection. Pakistan’s fast bowler Umar Gul has been replaced by Yasir Arfat as Umar return home to nurse his injury.

Pakistan’s team is being led by Mohammad Younus, as the skipper Shoaib Malik is being treated for his ankle injury. He has been replaced by the middle order batsman Faisal Iqbal.

“We have no option, we have to win the match, but we are struggling with fitness problems. This is difficult time for us but I hope that the players will recover in time” said Pakistan’s skipper.
