New York ( — 76 years old Regis Philbin, the co-host of ‘Live’ for more than 2 decades does not forget to comment on the outside weather every morning with Kelly Ripa. Not only that, he has also been the host of ‘Million Dollar Password’ for 6 weeks now which takes him back to his show ‘Who Wants to be a Millionaire’ that he had hosted 10 years ago. The show is featured every Sunday on CBS at 8 pm EDT.

As he is moving towards his 50 years on the television, he is going to get his well-deserved Lifetime Achievement Award from the Day time Entertainment Emmy Award that will be broadcasted on June 20. The Guinness World Records has certified him to have made largest number of hours of TV appearance that was 15,662 in 2006 and it adds on with each of his episode. With each appearance he makes on television, he breaks his own record.

Grown up in Bronx, Philbin started out as a singer and not as a talker. He loved to hear Bing Crosby and had known all his songs word by word when he was a child. Regis made appearances in the local TV of West Coast but then he headed towards New York and landed on a morning show which succeeded and Kathie Lee Johnson became his co-host a couple of year after. Now his TV show ‘Live’ airs to over 200 markets in the country and its average number of viewers is 4 million every day.
