India and Afghanistan must stop infiltration inside Pakistan’s tribal areas

Washington: For the first time since the elected government of Pakistan took office, it has come up with directly naming the countries involved in creating unrest in Fata and in the province of Balochistan. Rehman Malik, advisor to the PM on the interior while talking to the newsmen said that India and Afghanistan have been blaming Pakistan for unrest inside their countries, where as Pakistan it self is a victim of terrorism. He identified the foreign elements that are trying to destabilize the country; these include India, Afghanistan’s Northern Alliance, Uzbeks and Chechens.

Failure of US to control militants pointed out by Pakistani PM

Washington: While speaking at a joint meeting of 2 think tanks in Washington the Prime Minister of Pakistan, Yousuf Raza Gilani said “that despite having “all sophisticated weapons they need,” the US forces in Afghanistan also had failed to eradicate militancy from the areas under their control.” He added “If we are not able to control them, you are not able to control them (either).”

Firing from Afghanistan inside Pakistani territory continues

Miramshah: Several rockets and nine mortar shells landed inside North Waziristan area yesterday through the Afghanistan border.

Karachi: While speaking to the members of Sindh High Court Bar association, in Karachi, yesterday, the deposed Chief Justice Iftikhar Mohammad Chaudhry said that a country cannot progress without an independent judiciary and supremacy of constitution.

US to continue attacking militants inside Pakistan

Washington: Just 2 says have passed when the US President assured Pakistani leaders that US respects sovereignty of Pakistan. This respect proved to be short lived as Pentagon spokesman confirmed yesterday that the US will continue attacks inside Pakistani territory.
