US - India nuclear deal in serious problems

Vienna (Reuters): The nuclear deal with India which is being pushed by the United States is now in hot waters. The NSG meetings on the 21 and 22 of August failed as the nuclear suppliers group nations fail to reach a consensus. India feels betrayed. For the meeting that is set for September 4-5 US is reworking on the wavier draft but diplomats said that US consultation with Indian side on the redraft of the wavier agreement has run into difficulties.

Indian forces detail Muslim Kashmiri leaders

Srinagar (Agencies): After some biggest protests in the last 2 decades by the Kashimirs demanding independence from India, Indian police detained Muslim Kashmiri leaders. The forces also extended the curfew for the sixth consecutive day to stop the people from pro independence rallies.

Indian haunted by Pakistani ISI

New Delhi: Indian home ministry is siting more trouble from terrorist group that is backed by Pakistan’s intelligence agency ISI. The Home ministry quoted that the terrorist group can now carry out chemical warfare and can also use radiological weapons against India.

Karadzic pleads ‘not guilty’ - humiliates the UN tribunal

The Hague (Reuters): The Bosnian Serb leader refused to plead on all the 11 charges set against him questioning the legitimacy of the UN tribunal set for the inquest. He said “I will not plead in line with my standpoint as regards to this court.” The hearing lasted for 30 minutes and the court took Zaradzic stand for his pleading ‘Not Guilty’.

Georgia severs diplomatic ties with Russian

Tbilisi (AFP) Just 3 days after Russia recognizes Georgia, Georgia announced that it will not be maintaining a cordial relationship with Russians. Georgia announced on Friday that the country is breaking its diplomatic relationship with Russia and all the Russian diplomats will have to leave the country.
