Taliban wants foreign forces to quit Afghanistan - offer peace in Afghanistan

Kabul: Neither Taliban nor NATO or US forces are winning war in Afghanistan but the dilemma of the foreign forces is that they have not been able to contain the Taliban from bomb attacks and killing and abduction of foreign forces. The Taliban, in fact had made a strong come back. Now with all going wrong and the US willing to increase its military presence in Afghanistan, the senior Taliban insurgent leader had said that Taliban is willing to talk peace in Afghanistan, only if the foreign forces leave the land.

US state department report on China rights record

Washington: The US state departments annual report cite the worsening of the human rights situation in China. The report triggered anger in Beijing.

The report indicates the “The government’s human rights record remained poor and worsened in some areas,” the report said, saying it “deteriorated severely” in Tibet.

While the Chinese Xinhua news agency slammed the US report by saying that (US has)“turned a blind eye to the efforts and historic achievements China has made in human rights.”

US needs to win war within the Islamic groups in the US

Washington: Obama administration has been given a new idea by the task force of Middle East Experts that are now urging the US government that it needs to stop militants groups from recruiting and gathering new recruits.

The reports indicates, “We need to get beyond killing our way out of the problem,” The key, he added, is to “empower Muslims within their communities to fight their own battles on the front lines of the ideological war.

Bagram prison must close - EU

Brussels (Reuters): The EU in EU policy document has said that the US must not allow Bagram to turn into Guantanamo Bay prison. The Guantanamo Bay facility had 245 detainees where as Bagram prison houses 600 prisoners.

The document states, “The Guantanamo camp cannot simply be transferred somewhere else.” “It would not be in conformity with EU fundamental rights policies to simply transfer Guantanamo elsewhere (i.e. in Bagram) without solving the underlying question of the detention of terror suspects for indefinite time and without trial.”

Underground missile fueling facility built by North Korea

Seoul: South Korean newspapers, yesterday, said that the North Korea has completed its underground fueling station at the long range missile test site. This has created difficulty in predicting the date of launch by the US spy satellites.
