Swat - Community police training center bomb blast kills 16 cadets

Mingora (Dawn.com): The suicide bomber succeeded in sneaking into the ground where the trainee cadets were in busy in their routine drill and blew the explosives attached to his body. An obvious security lapse shows how unprepared out security officials are or are they siding with Taliban to help them prove their might. The suicide bomber breached the security barriers and the ground of the police training center.

The suicide bomb blast took lives of 16 cadets and injured over 8.

Pakistan Foreign Minister speaks about Indian policy of holding dialog with Pakistan

Islamabad (Dawn.com): Doubled faced policy of India was the central point of discussion of Pakistan Foreign Minister. ‘They (India) hesitate on dialogue, but they want cooperation against terrorism and give us dossiers. They want progress and then —shy away from talks. Both things cannot go together,’ he said while speaking to the journalists. He told the media that India had an agreement with Pakistan in Sherm-Al-Sheikh. He said, ‘What was Sharm El Sheikh, what was the agreement, if there is going to be no dialogue then where are we going.’ ‘If the road forward is dialogue, then why are they shying away? They should come and sit and talk, he added.

Dick Cheney wants CIA to keep watch over A.Q, Khan

Washington (Dawn.com): Criticizing President Obama’s orders to investigate the CIA official’s interrogating techniques, Dick Cheney told Fox News that President Obama should go after Pakistani Nuclear Scientist Dr. A. Q.Khan who is the worst nuclear proliferator in this current history. He claimed that the CIA investigation / interrogation techniques were necessary and had brought good results. 15 Nato oil tankers catch fire after a blast en route to Afghanistan

Quetta (Dawn.com): Approximately 15 Nato oil tankers caught fire yesterday. Nato Supplies trucks have been lined up near Chaman Border as the passage to Afghanistan has been closed by the Authorities for the past 2 days suspending traffic between the 2 countries. The explosion occurred in one old oil tanker which immediately caught fire. The fire spread and engulfed other oil tankers that were lined up awaiting entry into Afghanistan.

Unilever Pakistan, reality show being directed and filmed by Indian Media company takes life of Pakistani contestant

Islamabad (Dawn.com): A Pakistani, Saad Khan, 32, drowned in the lake while taking up the challenge in the reality show being filmed in Thai Capital Bangkok. He was asked to perform a dash across a lake with 15 pounds weight in his backpack. He cried for help while he was half way and went underwater.

Uni Lever does not accept the responsibility of the incident says that non of the company’s representative were consulted nor they were present during the shooting of the show. This was the 10 episode being filmed of the reality show being sponsored by Uni Lever Pakistan.
